Exhibition OFF//Foto

It has been a great joy to share my long term project Secretsof the Desert as part of a group exhibition during this year’s OFF//Foto at Dezernat 16 in Heidelberg. I loved seeing so many of you at the opening in May. Secrets of the desert is a visual exploration of my boat trip along the Nile in Egypt. Captured through analogue photography, the project is a mixture of personal reflection and cultural history, where fact & fiction intermingle and past and present collide. In addition to my photographs, the project also includes photographs from my father's archive, as well as monotypes I created myself, which deepen the emotional and historical layers of the story. The project was funded by a grant of VG Bild Kunst and is currently edited as a photobook. Stay tuned.
